The Cisco Unified IP Phone 500 Series consists of affordable, entry-level IP phones designed for use with the Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series for Small Business only. These phones are not designed for use with Cisco Comms Manager. The Cisco 500 range are a newer addition to the Cisco telephony product line-up, and have been migrated in to the Cisco portfolio from the Linksys division.

The Cisco 500 series range of phones are ideally placed for businesses making the transition from traditional digital or hybrid key systems to a solution designed for the Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series. The Cisco Unified IP Phone 500 Series can be used with unified communications productivity-enhancing features such as directory search and VoiceView Express.
