Blackberry MVS provides an integrated suite of functions and features, which when used in conjunction with an organisations Cisco phone system, allows Smartphones to provide the same set of services as normal desk phones with the added benefit of complete device mobility. Voice over WiFi allows Blackberry Smartphones to make and receive calls over an organisation’s internal WiFi network. Smartphones can share the same extension number as desk phones, allowing employees to be contacted wherever they happen to be. Calls placed from Smartphones are automatically routed over the WiFi network and through the businesses Cisco Unified Communications Manager. This means that all internal calls are free. Unlike the “free” mobile to mobile calls offered by many mobile carriers which are then hidden in rental charges, MVS internal calls really don’t cost a penny. Similarly, calls to external numbers benefit from cheaper tariffs than would be the case if an employee was calling direct from their Smartphone. When an employee is not in the office, Blackberry MVS recognises this automatically. Calls placed to office extension numbers can be automatically delivered to both desk phones and your Smartphone over the GSM network using MVS’ Single Number Reach support. Only calls that you decide you want to be redirected are delivered in such a manner. If you can’t take the call, Blackberry MVS works this out, and automatically redirects the call to your Cisco Unity voicemail system. No more checking multiple mail boxes for your messages, saving time and effort. You’re now always available on a single number wherever you are working. MVS Dial via Office allows you to take advantage of cheaper tariffs by routing your calls through the Cisco phone system even when you’re away from the office. Vitally, it also allows your mobile calls to be sent to your voice recorder allowing all calls to be recorded, regardless of where you are. This helps organisations striving to achieve PCI DSS. |
Blackberry MVS builds seamlessly on top of your existing Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) infrastructure. Whether you are connected, over WiFi or GPRS/EDGE, your Blackberry Smartphone stays in contact with the MVS Server through its existing link to the BES server that is already used for delivery of your email. When your Smartphone leaves the office, the MVS Server is automatically notified that WiFi is no longer available to you, and all future calls should be placed using GSM. When you come back to the office, again MVS is notified, and all calls are then delivered using WiFi. Simple! Nettitude can tie all of the pieces of the Blackberry MVS solution together with a single team of highly trained and skilled personnel. Don’t just take our word for it, RIM have appointed Nettitude as one of the few companies in the United Kingdom who can offer Blackberry MVS as a solution to you.For more information, please complete our contact form and a Sales Consultant will respond to your enquiry. |
