The Cisco UC 500 provides solutions from 8 – 138 users in a flexible
hardware device.It can interface with
traditional PSTN and ISDN networks, as well as interfacing with Internet based telephony
protocols.

Some of the standard features of the UC500 are as follow:
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express supports both Cisco IP Phones, and conventional analogue devices for feature rich call processing.
- Cisco Unity Express for Voicemail and Auto Attendant features that improve communications between employees and customers. In addition, Music on Hold and huntgroups are a standard component of the UC 500 platform.
- The Cisco UC 500 has an integrated firewall. This means that a single device can deliver telephony, switching, routing and firewalling, all in one box.
- The UC500 can also support an optional integrated Wireless Access Point.
- Cisco CallConnectors that support integration with 3rd party applications including Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Salesforce.com CRM. CallConnectors also support click to dial and presence.
- Support for full function contact centre solutions, delivered through Cisco IP Contact Centre software products.
